SCIENCE FAIR UPDATE

While there are no Science Fair Assignments due this week, students should be conducting their experiments.  I suggest that all students finish conducting experiments by Friday.  It is okay if not all the journal entry pages are completed in the journal/log.

By Monday, April 20, all students should have completed their graphs, results, and conclusion sections.  If they are done prior to Monday, students can bring them in for feedback.  Final presentations are due Wednesday, April 22.  This means that project presentations - either a trifold board or a digital presentation (PowerPoint or Prezi) - should be brought to class on Wednesday.  Students will present to their classes prior to the Science Fair on Thursday.

For students to self-assess and revise, they can use this checklist.  The checklist has the criteria I will be looking for to get either a 3 or a 4 (items labeled "Challenge").  I shouldn't have to say this, but spelling and grammar count!

There will be no additional Math/Science homework Monday, April 20 and Tuesday, April 21.

NOTE:  Students are only allowed to make a digital presentation if they have a device to show it on (laptop, tablet) since the Science Fair is in the Sheff Center, not the classroom.
