Summer Programs

As we wrap up the year and start thinking about out summer breaks, I wanted to share a couple of summer programs offered.  

The Boys & Girls Club will be hosting programs and activities from June 4 to July 2.  The program will be held from 9:00am until 5:00pm each weekday at the Asylum Hill Boys and Girls Club (170 Sigourney Street, Hartford).  It is for students ages 6 to 11. They will take the students on field trips, provide social recreation, and target programs such as promoting healthy eating and exercise.  The cost of this summer camp is $375. If you are interested you may contact Dante Smith at 860-209-5041 or dsmith@bgchartford.org. 

The second opportunity is the Trailblazers Basketball Skills Camp.  There are two camp sessions -June 29-July 2 and August 10-14.  It is held at Capital Prep and open to children in grades 3-10.  The cost is $110 per child (if registering more than one child, it is $95).  There is a $10 discount if children attend both sessions.  For more information, contact Coach Tammy Millsaps at 860-695-9812 or millt004@hartfordschools.org. 

These are both great opportunities to keep the kids active during the summer breaks!
